D.Min

This is an unusual blog since it is just personal news. After reading around 15,000 pages and writing approximately 200 pages of papers I have just completed my Doctor of Ministries degree from Columbia Evangelical Seminary. In the words of just about anybody who has ever run a marathon, "I am glad that's over".

Wonderful! Hang on now that you are even more prepared for that for which you were called Pastor because with all that you read, wrote about and studied God will find a way to use it in your ministry :)
I can bet your entire family is thrilled for you.

VERY COOL! Congratulations!

Have been hanging onto your words about the first snow...we got ours yesterday! Your perspective has blessed me so as I have anticipated that precious sight...and when I spied that white blanket on our lawn while putting a little guy back to bed at 3:30a, I smiled. (I will share your words with the many cranky Chicagoans that pass my way.)

Again, (many) congratulations!

So now if your wife needs you to take out the trash, does she say "Dr. Honey, can you please take out the trash?"

God is good! He has blessed you and blessed our church. Btw, how do we address you now? Should we stick with Joe? ;)

Congratulations Dr. Coffey! I realize the challenges of this accomplishment as you ministered full-time and took care of your family. Thank you for being there for me, my family, & HCC in our times of need."Wow, leadership is always hard, isn't it?" May God continue to bless you.

Congratulations Joe. Finishing that and an iron man in one year. I just hope to read a few books and get a little running or biking in in a year.

Congratulations! What an amazing accomplishment.
After being a nurse for many years, I finally finished my bachelor's degree about 5 years ago. I just finished my first semester of grad school this past fall. It darn near killed me!
I cannot imagine undertaking what you have accomplished.
Your Fathers (Heavenly and earthly) are smiling down upon you!
Thanks for sharing your gift with all of us at HCC, Aurora, etc...
